This
expedition is open to Gold participants who meet the following criteria:
- You have
completed expedition training at Gold level AND HAVE COMPLETED YOUR BRONZE AWARD COMPLETELY
and wish to be assessed.
- You wish
to complete Gold expedition training AND HAVE COMPLETED YOUR BRONZE
AWARD COMPLETELY.
It
is a D of E requirement that you may only attend expeditions one
level above an uncompleted Award. This means that you can do Silver
expeditions without completing your Bronze Award, but cannot do
Gold expeditions. The only way round this is either to complete
your Bronze Award or to do Gold Direct. Gold Direct requires two
training expeditions prior to assessment so by far the simplest
option is to complete your Bronze Award.
The dates for
this expedition are 21.08.2010 - 25.08.2010.
Training costs
£140. Assessment costs £50. The difference in cost covers
the expense of having MLs with the training groups for the first
two days of navigation.
Bring a completed
consent form and cheque, payable to QEGS, for the appropriate amount
to Mr McWilliam ASAP to confirm your place. ALL PAPERWORK, ROUTES
AND PLANNING MUST BE COMPLETED BY EASTER.
