The volunteering aspect of the Award is often the most difficult as it involves finding an individual or establishment willing to accept your offer of volunteering. In the first instance you should use your own initiative to find somewhere to do your volunteering.

If you are struggling to sort something out, the following establishments have been contacted by Mr McWilliam. They have vacancies as detailed, however it is up to you to contact them and make arrangements. If you require a reference then see Mr McWilliam.

Remember, you are aiming for APPROXIMATELY an hour a week but in some situations it may be more appropriate (and more use of everyone's time) to complete 2-3 hours every 2-3 weeks. Your online record should be signed off to indicate that you have completed the total hours required over the appropriate time period as detailed bw.

Award Hours of volunteering required: Spanning a period of:
Bronze 12 (or 24) 3 (or 6) months
Silver 24 6 months
Gold 50 12 months

If there is nothing here that suits you then chaeck back frequently as this page is being updated constantly. If you know of other establishments that are able to support QEGS boys in their efforts to complete their Service then please contact Mr McWilliam with the details and the database will be updated.
